Rescue

It is in the nick of time that  I board this ummoinner bus. People don't like interacting in buses and matatus, it's human nature I think. Sometimes I thank God for the men and women of God who preach in our mathrees,we had one. They make you interact with the person you are seated next to which is pretty good because some of us,mmmmh, 'I mean you' since they woke up in the morning have not conversed with anyone but themselves complaining to themselves how life sucks.
Talking to yourself can be fun at times until you speak out loud.  After a long tiring day sometimes you would wish to find someone to speak to. Hours before I board this bus, my day had been quite busy, you know when you tell someone your day has been busy yet there is nothing to account for your busy scheduled day and even your to-do list is like what the hell. Nothing done here.

I almost fought these guys who ensure passengers board a matatu in town(I mean fight using words rather my mouth) My 48kgs can fly in between the buildings of CBD like shredded papers if I engage in a serious fight. I don't even want to think of it. I can't tell clearly what they do. If they are always touts who ensure those who board a specific bus get a bus, and they are also incharge of the prices. At different times of the day they ensure the prices either increase or decrease.
I was from those  sides of statehouse road very tired and exhausted. I can always stand on the queue but this round my legs were like.... no we aren't doing this and so I decided to pass by mathe who never disappoints her customers with boiled maize and buy half of it ready to hijack the long queue.
When the tout guy saw me he almost jumped on me for hijacking the patient passengers. He never wanted to hear my side of the story and insisted that I should make a queue from the back. Thank God for pregnant women...aaah motherhood must be nice! Huh, luckily she was there for my rescue and requested  them to hear my story which was about my tired legs.... How nice... right.
Though the makanga guy told us to watch out because there are some pretty ladies parading to be passengers but end up stealing people's phones.
Remember that man of God, he insisted on engaging everyone on the bus with songs of praise. I can't recall where he alighted. All I can remember is us singing. It's like we were right there in front of the pearly gates ready to meet the one seated on the throne.
Needless to say, my attention span is rubbish, the songs sunk me in a sleep.
