So I get this one chance to explore a land of the unknown, you'll definitely get to know them. Everyone wishes the December holidays were always longer but come to think of it if they were longer how would it feel like.... Really boring, not to all though.

"I'll be heading out tomorrow at a friend's home, aaaaah and so I'm here to ask for your permission"
My dad looked at me and honestly If I was an angel I ould tell what was running in his mind, so sad I'm not.

I really struggled to say those words to him because he's such a strict Dad and if someone was to determine my blood pressure at the moment, goodness it was super high.

"Which friends? Who are they to you? At what time? Are you going to sleep? Or at what time will you be back?"
I really don't like being questioned but I had to answer all these to my father. If someone would vision how events roll in a day i think I would be going to that person everyday to ask how my whole day is going to be.
I had to confirm everything from my friend who was to host us and tell it all to my dad. The most pronounced points being the time I would get back which would determine at what time I'll leave the house the next day.
Why don't they say "a no man's lake or sea." Kendubay it is, we see some parts of the big lake Victoria.
"If a bay is inside a bay how do they call that? Ben suddenly asks.
With so much awe we look at him and ask ourselves how he has ended up with the question because I assume it has not just come from nowhere.
After wondering why he asked us that a thought comes to me that I've never had of such like a question.
Ever heard of simbi nyaima in kendubay? I think Gladys Wanga should do something about it. A very good scenery that's breathtaking and has a lot of stories behind its existence. It's said Simbi came to be as a result of one old woman who went to seek shelter in a nearby village unfortunately the village members did not welcomed her except for one young lady who did and she, the old woman left with her only for her to look back and see the village in floods and the whole village sunk.
Back when i visited the historic place, its said that some tourists came to measure it's depth which they didn't determine.
It never dries up and those nearby use its water for medicinal purposes and people do harvest the so called "magadi" that's used for cooking, from it's banks.
People have different stories of Simbi Nyaima. That's yours to tell.

"Do you know why it is called pap onditi?"
"Mmmmmmmh ! I have zero clue about that."
"Is  it because of the pap? "
The view is so therapeutic and breathtaking. You can hear the birds sing, in conjunction with all the mooeing of the cows and barking of the dogs as the wind blows making the air so fresh, the trees not left behind in completing the mother nature's assignment.
No man's land here we are. We are given a warm welcome from my friend's dad and we get to meet Mr Abiero himself who welcomes us in his shop and we are treated to a drink of soda each before we head to his homestead.
A few talks here and there about us, what we do and what we are up to. They look so much alike, from how he walks to how he talks and how funny he is. They say if you want to know a person then engage them in a conversation. The most difficult part that I always have to admit is starting a conversation. I wish there was a formula that I can always refer to.
A friend always admits that I like food more than he does but when it comes to some meals, I don't do them; smokie, boiled eggs, "matumbo", "smocha", sausage. I don't like them because they smell and taste bad at the same time.
A way to a man's heart they say is food... Is that really true? Experience is the best teacher, huh!
Up and down the small hills within pap onditi, we trekked and admired the beautiful scenery and wondered how God managed to put all this in place in 6days. We marveled, "what a wonder!"
