May...be

April passes away and May comes in like a flash light....it welcomes everyone with a four day holiday. For some, the four days will be a mourning period, to others working hours depending on your job and if your family is counting on you, to some excitement because they get to spend the entire time with their loved ones who they've never seen for long, others go on vacation and not forgetting those who their best friend is their bed enjoying their sleep as usual.
But just may...be.....I say maybe because we all don't know what May has instore for each and every person. We live in remarkable times with inventions everyday and we try to make everything count and that's what matters.
As the month begins each post talks about how May's going to be different from April....but is it? Just may...be it will. Hopes high in that we will have  no more fuel hikes and stinging food prices, every corner in town is all but pain of how expensive life is, just maybe, may will be different.
A month of fees, parents will fill the books and uniform stores for them to enroll their form 1 kids. My hope and your hope is that unlike April, May's going to be better the focus being making each and everyday count.

You never know.... So one day I turn on the television and spend 20 minutes looking for something nice to concentrate on in different channels. Searching to the point of lacking, I came across a documentary that feels worth sharing with someone. HOPE

I have been thinking of how sometimes our lives are wired. You may want your life to move towards a certain direction but then things just don't add up. I thought it wise for you to help me reason out on hope, at least zoom and  later get it from your own perspective what hope is in the comment section. Recently we celebrated the heroes in our lives. What they have done in the past is exemplary that it can be remembered by all. I hope you had a hero. Being a hero means a lot. Heroic is the ability to conjure hope when there is none. Think about that for a second. To strike a match to light up a void and to show us a possibility for a better world; not a better world we want to exist but a better world we didn't know could exist. You will realise that hope goes hand in hand with faith. There is some great why to heroism that they bring to the table- some incredible belief that goes unshaken, no matter what. .................... 2023.........................  My mother tells me she gave birth to me at night 8pm. In luopean a child born at night is either called Atieno for a girl and  Otieno for a boy. But then I don't understand why she never gave me the name Atieno. Dad calls and realise that mum has just given birth to a bouncy babygirl and guess what dad says, Medalein Albright Auka will be her name and so they agree on the matter and name me after a politician and a diplomat from US, "Madeleine Albright" I always don't like when i have to explain to everyone how to spell and write my name. It always feels bad when someone spells your name incorrectly. Anyway, today is not about my name and not also about the day I was born.
